Equitannia Model is the state ideology, government model and political system of the Empire of Equitannia from the worldbuilding project known as Equitannia Chronicles. It is an Off-Compass, Authoritarian Unity, Economically Syncretic and a Culturally Syncretic ideology. Equitannia Model is centered on the governance the Empire of Equitannia headed by a Heavenly Child known as Alexander Sigmarus who rules over the Empire of Equitannia as its divine emperor. The Empire of Equitannia (or Equitannian Empire) is tasked in keeping the Realm of Earthworld safe from several threats both alien and magical.

Brothers and Sisters of Equitannia. Look around you. Do not look at titles, nor crowns, nor the rags of poverty. Look at the spirit. For too long, the world has measured a man’s worth by the weight of his gold or the sharpness of his steel. But the old scales are broken. Today, we forge a new standard. The Equitannian Empire is also a divine empire as their Equitannian Emperor is a Heavenly Child, created and blessed to steward the Equitannian Empire for all eternity. They support Absolute Monarchism and Enlightened Absolutism, believing that the Emperor should possess absolute power but also rely on the Enlightenment Philosophy. They support Cultural Syncretism, due to their equal reliance on Progressivism and Conservatism to create a unique Equitannian culture and for fully embracing the idea of an Ancient Regime with Progressive Values. They support Economic Syncretism, due to their reliance on State Capitalism, to create a unique Equitannian economy. They support Reactionaryism as they respect and express admiration for ancient history and mostly the Medieval Era of Earthworld. They support Techno-Progressivism due to their reliance on technological progress. They support Egalitarianism, believing that equality brings unity, unity brings strength and strength brings determination to all Equitannians. They support the prohibition of all forms of slavery, therefore labelling it as a criminal act. They are also known for its reliance on Baroque, Medieval and Classical infrastructures.

Summary

The Empire of Equitannia (also commonly called the Equitannian Empire and simply Equitannia) is the official name of the fantastic realm with Pendragon City as its capital and most important city. It is currently ruled by Alexander Sigmarus. It is a realm-wide monarchy composed of "Grand Provinces" under the supreme authority of a central government. The Empire of Equitannia embodies the highest ideals of harmony, techno-magic perfection and spiritual welfare. It is a society where mages, scientists, engineers and philosophers collaborate side by side. The realm of Equitannia has been known throughout history of Mankind for having the greatest knights in the entire realm. Despite living in an endless golden age of peace and prosperity known as the "Pax Equitannia", the Empire of Equitannia is facing several threats that would dare challenge the Imperial rule.

Government

The Empire of Equitannia functions as a Confederal Galactic Empire, universally described as a Confederal Theocratic Absolute Monarchy, guided by Enlightened Absolutism, with the immortal Emperor of Equitannia ruling over it. This unique governance structure emphasizes not just authority but also a deep commitment to the principles of equity and justice. Though the Empire legally protects and supports the independent sovereignty of every realm throughout the Known Universe, the Emperor wields the legal power to depose a local monarch if they willingly become full-fledged tyrants and betray the core tenets of the Mandate of Equity, thereby ensuring a just and orderly society that respects the rights of all.

The Equitannian Empire theoretically operates as a Ceremonial Absolutism. In this unique political structure, the immortal Emperor possesses legal absolute power, yet chooses to exercise a remarkable degree of restraint. Instead of imposing his will upon the citizens, he fosters a culture of autonomy and individual freedom. His occasional enforcement of supreme authority is reserved for extraordinary circumstances, highlighting his commitment to the well-being of the Empire. The Equitannian Empire is best described as a Theocratic Absolutism, where the Emperor of Equitannia is equally worshipped alongside the Supreme God as The Father and The Son, in accordance with their Equitannian Binitarianism. This esteemed body is composed of a diverse array of ministers and officials, each entrusted with the critical responsibility of enforcing the day-to-day administration of the empire on behalf of the reigning sovereign, currently His Imperial Majesty, Emperor Alexander Sigmarus. In Equitannian culture, honour and chivalry means everything. This is strongly reinforced in their laws. Every Knight of Equitannia must follow the seven commandments:

• Courage - Courage was considered the bedrock upon which a Equitannian Knight's character was formed. Knights of Equitannia were often thrust into perilous situations on the battlefield, facing formidable opponents and life-threatening challenges. Their ability to remain steadfast and composed in the face of such dangers set them apart and earned them great respect.
• Honour - Honour was an essential and driving force behind a Equitannian Knight's actions. Knights of Equitannia held their honour in the highest regard, and it shaped every aspect of their conduct and behaviour. They were bound by their word and considered it a matter of great pride to uphold their promises and commitments.
• Justice - Justice held a central position in the world of knighthood, and Knights of Equitannia were regarded as staunch protectors of the innocent and champions of justice. They were not only skilled warriors but also enforcers of the law and order within their realms. Their solemn duty was to ensure that justice prevailed and that the weak and defenceless were shielded from harm.
• Mercy - Despite being renowned warriors, Knights of Equitannia possessed a deep understanding of the value of mercy.
