Social Enlightenment Thought is the political theory of Meatbot.404, created as a movement in response to the American establishment, not only politically, but also philosophically. Primarily, it aims to renew a lost adherence to Enlightenment principles, those being liberty (in extension, both negative liberty from oppressive forces and positive liberty of personal autonomy), equality (that is, in the vein of equal rights and equal opportunity), and fraternity (commitment to the welfare of the community). This generally results in leaning towards the center-libertarian-left quadrant, believing the natural progression of these principles to plot in this direction. However, it is nonetheless critical of American left-right dynamics, finding them to cause arbitrary fragmentation of what would otherwise be unifying American values. It is especially critical of party dynamics in particular and seeks to reset party-led ideology in favor of pragmatism, stemming from the Enlightenment's basis in reason (and further inspired by criticisms of political dogma from Washington, Mill, etc.). In effect, it is big-tent in coalition, syncretic in policy, and reformist in praxis.

Economic Theory

1. America's present economic condition is proving to be inadequate to the demands of the working-class.

  • 1a. The extent of this could be debatable (especially relative to conditions internationally), but regardless of the occasionally exaggerated reports, there remains cause for actionable concern at the bare minimum.
  • 1b. To this point, one need only look around, at the system neglecting unprofitable societal needs, remaining hands-off while the working class struggles to keep up with rising costs (stagnant wages vs inflation rate, straining total purchasing power), failing to reward labor proportionately, enabling an uncompetitive snowball effect that perpetuates inequity (beyond personal responsibility), failing to uphold meritocracy and equal opportunity, all while basic livability is existentially threatened by externalities (family, medical, transportation, maintenance costs, etc.) and those "fallen in the cracks" are without any realistic pathway to security (in spite of the "bootstrap" sentiment), I could go on.
  • 1c. It is, of course, nearly impossible to eliminate all these negative potentialities completely, but there is a demand for at least a more adequate attempt (if any are made at all).

2. Caring sincerely about rectifying any of these failures requires realism in praxis, otherwise having such a value is functionally meaningless.
3. In America, revolutionary Marxist leftism remains the antithesis of realism.

  • 3a. In fact, it's a complete non-starter, predestined to fail on the basis of being a fundamentally counter-liberal philosophy in a fundamentally liberal society. In reality, the overwhelming majority of the government and total population would just snuff out any attempt at a complete structural overhaul, whether it's attempted via violent insurrection or the democratic process.
  • 3b. Furthermore, the cost-benefit ratio of any such overhaul is debatable to begin with, as the market system itself, while deserving of criticism for its apparent challenges, is also not without its objective advantages (i.e. economic growth, market stability, risk-allocation, etc.). It should be criticized only for the right reasons, and addressed with only with the right solutions, or otherwise cause economic conditions to fall even further. (This becomes only increasingly true in modern civilization, where our economic condition at its scale is increasingly reliant on the system it's built from.)
  • 3c. There must also be an understanding that providers, workers, and consumers are roles in which every change in one affects the others. This creates the need for a healthy equilibrium, which not only comes from avoiding negative market distortion, but also correcting the imbalances that result from an unfettered market (if exercising wisdom, leaving only positive distortion remaining).

4. In contrast to colloquial "radicalism", classical liberal radicalism and its related movements (i.e. welfarist, Georgist, Ricardian/liberal socialist/cooperative, labour movements, etc.) remain natural extensions of the principles that America was founded on (despite branching into more counter-Western forms). In other words, the drive towards equity is entrenched in American values, in spite of being led to believe the contrary, and that drive still remains to address a demand that is only increasing.

Civic Theory

1. Regardless of contemporary dilution, the most binding American principles remain: life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

  • 1a. While general, these tenets concisely sum up what a society would look like at the top of its hierarchy of needs, orienting a government towards the most appropriate model for optimal well-being.
  • 1b. These tenants can only exist if they're protected, they can only be protected if the state cannot infringe upon them, they cannot be protected if the state ceases to exist at all.
  • 1c. Under this logic, anarchism could then only be described as idealistic in theory (and in all likelihood, would naturally devolve into kraterocracy in practice).
  • 1d. In the same vein, consolidating power into the state, even with the intent to protect civil liberties and wellbeing, equally leaves opportunity for corruption without accountability.

2. The liberty in question must be properly defined to be actualized, can only be defined by both positive and negative liberty (as freedom to oppress does not net true freedom), therefore the state can only ensure liberty by way of the harm principle ("right to swing your arms ends where another man's nose begins" sentiment).

  • 2a. This requires exclusive use of cost-benefit analysis and basic reason to make this judgment, as ideological motivations only result in arbitrary cherry-picking (evidenced in the American political binary).

3. Security and freedom may coexist (and they must, as two sides of one coin, if granting that true freedom demands both positive and negative liberty), but delegating security to an unaccountable entitity can only be an existential threat to both.

  • 3a. Therefore true security (and true freedom by extension) can only exist if its enforcement is one that is transparent, self-policed, and held to an equal standard to its people.

4. In that same vein, the state in its entirety must not conflate usefulness with might. At its most optimal, its decision-making would be based on maximal effectiveness exerting minimal pressure.
5. These are the conditions required for a state to function as a servant of its people, a tool and nothing more, no notions of "power", only servitude.

On Christian Conservatism

  • To the Christian community, to those under the impression that conservatism represents Christianity, that the MAGA movement represents conservatism, or that any of these represent American values, I would urge you to reconsider (quite literally for the love of God). While it may feel natural to align with whatever side opposes the apparently anti-Christian left, this only creates the grave danger of ignoring the most egregious violations (in the highest order) of Christian principles committed by the party you pledge loyalty to— in effect, placing politics over religion.
    • Taken to the beginning, it is a matter of fact that Christianity has never been homogenous in history. Just as there were Christian monarchs, theocrats, and anti-intellectuals, there were also always Christian Enlightenment thinkers, liberalists, and scientists, Christian slavers along with Christian abolitionists, Christian segregationists along with Christian champions of Civil Rights.
    • From Martin Luther King Jr. to C.S. Lewis to any of the founders of America's most foundational principles, they would almost certainly look at those today championing "Christian faithfulness" and "freedom" and "founding Western values" with shame and disgust. They would see no faithfulness reflecting God in politics, no effort to protect life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, no respect for the Constitution and separation of powers, no respect for freedom of speech, no respect for freedom of (and from) religion, no equality of all men under the eyes of God, no love for thy neighbors and enemies alike, no compassion for the beggar, I could go on.
      • On the contrary, The Bible specifically teaches accountability for ourselves and our churches, not the political enforcement of our values (as our founders would agree). If we truly loved Christian values and the American system they inspired, we would also love God-given freedom of will, freedom to disagree, and the only responsibility of the Christian community would be to represent the word faithfully, sharing the gift of Christ through our words and actions (invitation ≠ assimilation).
    • Granting this, we must then acknowledge that Christians are more than the monolith we've created, capable of the same evils as anyone else (as we're only human, and no man is free from sin), as well as some of the country's greatest accomplishments. So (without assuming that your beliefs shield you from committing evil), you must ask yourself now which kind of Christian you are, if your current movement is on the right side of history or not.
    • This also does not mean to necessarily accept every position taken by the other party either. Some positions held in the current binary do align more or less to the believer (I would imagine abortion to be one), and you should want to protect your own beliefs from falling into obscurity. But you must also understand that your political counterpart, as intended, is not that eradicating force— it is your fellow man seeking the same American freedoms. And at the opposing party's very worst even still, it remains no more threatening to the existence of Christian values than the hypocrisy within the party you choose to defend. On the contrary, basing political policy on religious fear is only evidence of lacking faith.
    • Instead, I suggest that you actually trust the strength of your beliefs (both as voters and as parents), enough to believe that those beliefs will still exist even after granting the freedom for others to live differently. And I would invite you to support the possibility of change in this binary, so that you might actually avoid the discrepancies from Christian values within both parties, honoring the actual will of both Washington and Christ Himself.

On MAGA

On the topic of fraudulent Christian representation, we then get to Donald Trump.

  • His violations of Christian values, American values, and even conservative values are almost unquantifiable, but I will try to outline what I believe to be the greatest offenses (by himself, by his administration, and by his loyalists).
    • First and foremost, we have to address January 6. Regardless of who's tired of hearing it, the unprecedented attack on our fundamental democratic process (the literal defecation on the heart of the nation) cannot be litigated enough.
    • Now some may differently interpret the president's degree of responsibility (hopefully within the range of reasonable belief), but what has to be accepted are the facts. And it is a matter of fact that, Donald Trump objectively attempted to circumvent the transfer of power via illegitimate slate of electors, which alone is illegal (before even discussing responsibility for the riot itself).
      • This is in spite of the fact that his own assigned investigation (removing the factor of bias) concluded that the results of the 2020 election were legitimate. "The ends justify the means" can therefore not be an acceptable defense on any level. The ends are knowingly wrong, the "means" are a gross violation of democracy itself, it is illegitimate all the way through.
        • More importantly, allowing this without repercussion is by definition placing one man above the law (which, at least on paper, we have historically sworn against). In his own words, "A Massive Fraud of this type and magnitude allows for the termination of all rules, regulations, and articles, even those found in the Constitution". You cannot allow this and love the constitution at the same time.
        • Further on the legitimacy of the 2020 election, we cannot point to its "weirdness" without also considering the logic underneath. COVID-19 was an unprecedented event, demand for mail-in ballots to abide by distancing policies had increased, MAGA voters were urged not to use this method, college students (historically left-leaning by vote) had far greater need to use this method, and at the end, these mail-in ballots were all counted last. With all of this in mind, a sudden upset after factoring in these ballots should not be a supernatural marvel, it is a fairly straightforward cause-and-effect.
        • Beyond this, every claim of ballot fraud has now been thoroughly investigated and disproven, these are matters on record. Is it theoretically possible for errors to occur? Yes, much like in every other election. But sheer possibility is not proof of a rigged result, and there continues to be no proof in every single claim. Errors are considered, they are investigated, it is people's jobs to do so, and they have found nothing, the litigation has been done, openly.
      • As for his involvement in the riot itself (if his given illegal activity wasn't enough), to paint the fullest picture I would urge that we look to his lack of serious intervention for hours while the White House was overrun (on the contrary, continuing to malign his vice president while the mob chanted for his death, only messaging a weak "stay peaceful" instead of directly acknowledging the ongoing violence, only actually calling off the riot hours later), the actual meaning behind his calls to action ("fight like hell", fight to do what?), his entirely overlapped motives with the rioters (stopping the certification of the vote), the requirement of force for these motivations to actualize (certification would not have stopped any other way), and, most brazenly, the pardoning of all capitol rioters (which should start begging some serious questions at this point). If using the most charitable interpretation in-line with the given facts (even if granting the most charitable excuses within reason), his actions can still be nothing short of wildly inappropriate and disgracefully anti-American, (at least subjectively) deserving of disqualification from becoming the president. And if using the entirely charity-free interpretation, he is just directly responsible for a straight up coup on the government, also deserving of disqualification from becoming the president (objectively, legally).
      • Lastly, no, it is not reasonable to suggest that January 6 was a deep state false-flag operation (if it even needs to be said). The first to breach were identified Proud Boys, there has been zero evidence of conspiracy (unless you count Donald Trump's), and the sitting president at the time, the only person who could possibly call these shots, was Donald Trump himself. What are we even talking about.
      • 5 years later, Trump has rewritten history, venerating the insurrection as a "day of love" and shifting all blame onto the capitol police officers (while still claiming to be the party of law and order?)
    • Deporting criminals Crimes against humanity
      • "War on drugs" ≠ wartime conditions/legal grounds to invoke Alien Enemies Act
      • Deportation to countries unrelated to place of origin ≠ legitimate deportation
      • Forced labor maximum security imprisonment in a foreign country ≠ any accepted definition of deportation
        • No due process ≠ legitimacy for imprisonment ("innocent until proven guilty")
      • Ignoring withholding of removal, sending deportee to specifically prohibited country ≠ legitimate deportation
      • Postponing "facilitation of return" ≠ legal compliance
      • "Alligator Alcatraz" ≠ compliance with any standard of treatment without due process
        • "65,000,000 meals" —Laura Loomer ≠ referring to the number of criminals alone. (That is, in fact, the approximate number of the total Hispanic population.)
      • Planned deportation of citizens ≠ legitimate deportation, unconstitutional by any frame of reference without due process
      • "Morality supersedes law" ≠ acceptable procedure for government operation (and based on highly debatable moral "correctness" either way)
    • Eliminating cartel terrorists Crimes against humanity
      • The wanton bombings of Venezuelan ships fail to meet any standard of law enforcement or military action.
      • As law enforcement, it is not in United States jurisdiction to enforce law in foreign nations.
        • Even if it was, it is not in any procedure of law enforcement to just immediately kill people.
        • Even organized drug trade (while abhorrent) is not an offense sentenced with death.
        • The penal system also requires due process to arrive to a sentence (as should be obvious).
      • As a military action, strikes targeted parties not engaged in war with the United States ("war on drugs" is not a legal qualification), which is an international crime.
        • Even if they were at war, the repeated bombing of survivors after incapacitating their vessel would then violate laws of combat (a shipwrecked combatant is considered removed from combat, assuming targets were combatants at all).
        • No evidence that targets posed an imminent threat of attack (potential harm from drug use is beyond the definition of attack), making the strikes purely acts of aggression.
      • Even supposing that "morality supersedes law" (assuming any of this is moral in the first place), there has been no transparency of information to actually prove that the strikes were morally justified either.
        • As a matter of fact, Venezuela is also not responsible for the vast majority of smuggled Fentanyl specifically (not that any drugs are welcomed, but that also doesn't necessitate lying to justify unsanctioned violence).
      • Sicario, while a good movie, was not an instruction manual.
    • Monkeys with nukes
      • While no love will be lost for Maduro or Khamenei, it is of some importance that there is a single thought behind any pull of the trigger. Which is why it should be alarming that we have:
      • Signal-gate
      • Not only failing to be responsible for a single war ending (much less 8, as is claimed), actively starting new wars, in spite of "no new wars"
      • "The Great Negotiator" being consistently man-handled by Putin, allowing himself to become a puppet for Netanyahu's every whim, "good talks" with Iran resulting in absolutely nothing
      • Claiming nuclear capability in Iran, claiming to have entirely dismantled Iranian nuclear capability after strikes, then justifying subsequent war with Iran on the basis of...nuclear capability? (It is logically necessary for there to be a lie somewhere in the chain here.)
      • Inability to define own military actions with any consistency (slipping between war and...excursion? And then both?), in reality doing war without procedure of congressional approval
      • Starting war immediately after cutting staffing for the VA, both creating trauma and pulling away its treatment
      • Distancing from allegiances with global tariffs and disregard for NATO prior to war, subsequently complaining when nobody comes to help (in spite of wars of aggression being outside NATO's purview), simultaneously pretending that the US's position was so dominant that support was never needed, simultaneously requesting $100-200 billion dollars in funding
      • Knowingly accepting risk of Strait of Hormuz blockade, despite the possibility being known in academia (for years) and present warnings occurring within advisory board
      • No nation-building prior to regime change, enabling greater evil to take its place
      • No lessons learned from history, instead defaulting back to war for oil, haphazard regime-change, and nebulous claims of WMDs (déjà vu). And in spite of any claimed intention of benefit for America:
        • What we are left with is a bombed Iranian girls' elementary school (of 150+ casualties, 100+ of which children), dead and wounded American soldiers, failed/worsened regime-change, two power vacuums, retaliatory war in the Middle East, exacerbated global unrest, and skyrocketed gas prices to show for it (now $2.00-$2.30 higher at writer's location. That is up to a 1.75x increase, some places ranging less, some more).
        • Generally, it is not easy to affect gas price this drastically and this quickly for a president. Yet he somehow managed, not due to a global pandemic that affected the entire world economy, but due to this particular president's actions directly (and yet those who bitched at the former are oddly silent now).
        • If you're going to war for oil, at least SUCCEED. As it stands, it is pure loss for every party from every angle, an abject failure by every metric from any standpoint.
      • There are also (albeit, unconfirmed) reports of top-down rhetoric across three branches of the military, detailing the intention of waging a holy war to accelerate the apocalypse of Revelation. Which, if true, would not look good.
    • Mental incompetence
      • Elementary diction, juvenile repetition, childish deflection in response to any challenging question ever asked, deranged written grammar (worse than even mine), "Nothing bad can happen, it can only good happen", playground bully insults, defaulting to racial targeting like a middle school internet troll (Obama birtherism, Kamala Indian-Black fixation, directly racist Obama-ape post), emotional pettiness, inability to demonstrate basic knowledge on a single topic espoused (from political policy to the Bible), exclusively speaking like a child giving a book report on a book he never read, overtly displaying signs of mental decline due to age à la Biden (voice reduced to a feeble croak, same directionless rambling, same sleeping through meetings, same brain farts, on top of a lower mental capacity by default), I could go on. It does not take cherry-picking and a fine-tooth comb of analysis to realize that he lacks any semblance of intelligence, you need only listen to him speak live at any given moment (how is this even a point of contention).
      • Might I suggest that (at least some basic level of) intelligence should be a qualifying factor in whoever we place at the highest position of the most powerful country on the planet.
    • Policy from ego
      • Rejecting bipartisan asylum bill to monopolize political platform
      • Vetoing unanimous Colorado Bill for clean water exclusively to spite Lauren Boebert
      • Admitting that resentment about Nobel Peace Prize factors into decision to seize Greenland ("Considering your Country decided not to give me the Nobel Peace Prize for having stopped 8 Wars PLUS, I no longer feel an obligation to think purely of Peace")
    • Alt-Right Trojan Horse
      • MAGA's near-universal Elon sieg-heil blindness (I did not forget)
      • Consistent refusal to condemn far-right supporters (David Duke, "stand back and stand by", J6 pardons, Vance-groyper coalition)
      • The Department of Justice posting multiple images specifically paralleling white nationalist, KKK, and Neo-Nazi propaganda
    • Abolition of accountability + consolidation of power + revision of reality + manufacture of crises + kingly aspirations = ???
      • Gaining presidential immunity for all charged crimes (34 tried, uncontested, and convicted felony counts), legally targeting his prosecutors and negative press, illegally firing 17 Inspector Generals without required warning or motive, maintaining a staff exclusively comprised of sycophants (bonus points if blonde women), replacing the head of the Bureau of Labor Statistics exclusively for a lack of positive data, strong-arming Jerome Powell to gain power over federal reserve (against its established independence and if successful, at the expense of inflation management), regularly spewing an unchecked output of misinformation (fabricating administration's successes, fabricating foreign tariff numbers, fabricating accusations at political opponents, perpetuating misunderstanding of concepts from "Marxism" to "DEI", falsely attributing helicopter crashes to DEI, fabricating voter fraud statistics, exaggerating illegal immigrant violence in spite of statistics, falsely claiming the devouring of pets by immigrants, etc.), turning immigration enforcement into a secret police of unvetted masked pseudo-soldiers (some of which Proud Boys) with no bodycams or name tags or badge numbers or any given identification actually mandated, abusing military mobilization in ICE raids on parks and attempting occupation of American cities (without legally required consent), deporting protestors on the grounds of the content of their (legally compliant) speech, ignoring direction from any branch of government, directly controlling the Department of Justice in unprecedented fashion, open resistance against mid-term election, "not ruling out" a third term, along with his tendency towards autarky and expansionist aspirations (taking Greenland "whether they like it or not", in spite of being a NATO country, claiming to prevent a Russia/China takeover by vying for the takeover ourselves, which would violate NATO's Article 5), these should all be alarming to every America-loving citizen in the country.
      • Rewriting reality worst hits
        • Framing murdered ICE detainee as a domestic terrorist??
        • Accusing Renee Good of political extremism in spite of no evidence and testimony on the contrary
          • Claiming that an instance of fleeing (justified or not) is actually an instance of attempted murder, in spite of video evidence that we can all witness firsthand on the contrary
          • Justifying shooter's actions based on past trauma, ignoring shooter's positioning towards car's path in the first place (which driver then corrected for), hand-waving the "fucking bitch" comment and calmly walking away immediately after the killing
          • Yes, evading detainment is ill-advised. No, that is not something we punish by death in any other circumstance.
          • If even straightforward homicide can be this brazenly rewritten by politicians, there may just be no limit to the devaluing of life (including your life or the lives of everyone you know if politically convenient), and civility is long-dead.
        • AGAIN, after less than a month, what the FUCK.
        • Per factual reality, Alex Pretti's actions amounted to 1. legally filming in public (because ICE/CBP has no bodycam standards, no accountability otherwise) and 2. helping a woman who'd been pushed to the ground, defending others from ICE/CBP brutality, never actually "obstructing" once in the process. (But it is telling on MAGA's behalf that being a witness to brutality and protecting the innocent gets labeled that way.)
          • HE was then approached and promptly attacked, getting pepper sprayed for violating no crime, and restrained for LEGALLY concealed-carrying a firearm (never once "brandished" at that, never even touched).
          • Not until AFTER he was disarmed (from again, his LEGAL concealed-carry), plainly in front of the shooter's eyes, he was promptly mag-dumped and murdered in the street. "Defensive shots" my fucking ass.
          • And then we can contrast his final moments to their next moments. He spends his last breath checking if the aforementioned woman was okay. A CBP agent spends the next moment clapping on the man's death (if the character of these opposite parties could not be more obvious).
          • There is no ambiguity to twist here. We can all witness this ourselves, firsthand, with our eyes, in multiple camera angles. This is not a gray area.
          • Inb4 "two reserve mags implies murderous intent" from the "good guy with a gun" people, HE was a good guy with a gun and they executed him for it. They do not give one iota of a fuck about the second amendment, it is exclusively about who is deemed the enemy and how to revoke their humanity.
      • I ask now to consider what these actions might mean more broadly. Removing every guardrail that could possibly maintain accountability, illegitimately claiming "states of emergency" to justify consolidation of power, attempting to militarize the homeland, manufacturing enemies from broad groups as scapegoats, removing those undesirables without any demand for due process, politically defending all related deaths (from targets and dissidents alike) as warranted, framing all victims as domestic terrorists, weaponizing fear to justify all actions no matter the damage, basing the country's salvation on xenophobia and ultranationalism, being entrusted the reigns as that savior, does this not at all sound familiar? Does every action not follow the same patterns as certain notable dictators in history? (And yet now the right-wing conspiracy theorists are quiet? None of that energy when it's actually in front of your eyes?)
      • Of course, that is not to say that Trump necessarily would (if he competently could) pull off the same scales of atrocities, but he is openly already putting the same playbook into action and this does not seem to be enough cause for alarm. Given this, the greater issue is not the possibility of a Holocaust, it's the fact that the people now are psychologically no different from the enablers then.
      • Worst part being, we don't even have the excuse of being "frogs in a slowly heating pot", we jumped straight into the autocracy. His loyalists were not fooled, they were shown a king in a gilded castle, they chose this king, and they clapped as he did king shit. (And yet these were the champions of "founding American values"? Did we suddenly forget who we had a revolution with? Did we forget every principle that Washington— widely considered the GOAT— stood for?)
    • MAGA doublethink
      • Trump has maintained support throughout countless contradictions (not always, but often from the same individuals), from TikTok banning to unbanning, dietary health championed only to be reversed in schools, BBB embraced despite running campaign on lowering inflation and discretionary spending, tariffs embraced (also despite running campaign on lowering inflation) yet also praised when pulled back (despite no resulting international trade deals), COVID vaccination attributed to Trump while simultaneously being demonized, Mexico-Canada Trade Agreement attributed to Trump while simultaneously being demonized, reversing 2nd amendment absolutism when ICE murders someone for open-carry, downplaying Kilmar Abrego Garcia case to "administrative error" until able to reframe it as fully justified, praise for eliminating drug trafficking while ignoring the pardoning of Juan Orlando Hernández (who's smuggled 400 TONS of cocaine), praise for pacifism while simultaneously celebrating aggressive military attacks (i.e. bombings and deposing heads of state in Venezuela and Iran, full-blown war in Iran, regressing to formerly disavowed regime-change policy, openly admitting war over oil alone), and so on.
      • Objectively, not all of these positions are even necessarily bad in a vacuum, but in the total context of reversing courses at the president's whim, with his core base blindly following with no acknowledgement of the contradiction, it becomes an intellectual crisis. The man will place cats in trees while being celebrated for saving them.
      • This. Is. A. Cult.

      • "The left is degenerate" — while shitposting pure degeneracy on the official White House Twitter, gross use of AI to dunk on the left (literally having Trump deploy feces onto protestors), misappropriating artists' works to bully deportees
      • "The left doesn't care about illegal immigration" — ignoring prior accusations of Obama as "deporter in chief", rejecting bipartisan bill that would have funneled mass rates of illegal immigration, instead favoring short-and-messy executive order policy with high rates of error and no legislative power post-term
      • "The left doesn't support our troops" — "He's a war hero because he was captured. I like people that weren't captured.", history of calling troops losers
      • "The left is anti-free speech" — legally targets all dissenting law firms, media, and immigrants, threatening to dox ICE protestors
      • "The left spends all our money" — runs record deficit spending in both terms (pre-COVID term one, new highs post-BBB)
      • "The left centralizes power for itself" — does everything to centralize power into a single individual, literally as centralized as is possible
      • "The left indoctrinates kids" — no issue conditioning own political worldview in schools, churches, and homes
      • "You can't call everyone you don't like a Fascist" — "Democrats are Communists (and Fascists)", JD Vance himself calling Trump Hitler
      • "The left can't equate the far-right to the majority of us" — equates the far-left to the left majority, while also increasingly absorbing far-right worldviews
      • "The left is more violent" — ignores the majority of public disavowal for violence in the Democratic party, more broad persecution in "soft" violence, statistically more extremist violence, highest fatality domestic terrorist attacks (i.e. Oklahoma City Bombing), January 6, calls for revenge post-Kirk, own recent high-profile assassinations/attempts (Melissa & Mark Hortman + Gilbert Hortman their DOG, attempts on John & Yvette Hoffman, extended Democrat hit-list, Josh Shapiro firebombing), defending not only all police-related killings (even when objectively unjustified) but now all ICE-related killings (with even less accountability)
        • "The left has no empathy for the dead" — pertaining exclusively to randoms on Twitter (and zero actual public figures), while the actual president of the United States routinely shows no empathy for the dead (given less accountability rather than more), feigning ignorance about the Hortmans and using their deaths only to denigrate Tim Walz, using McCain's funeral only to complain (about his lack of praise for performing mandated presidential duty) and continuing to denigrate him after death, laying into Rob Reiner at-length for being anti-Trump, the DAY after he and his wife were stabbed to death (disgustingly, narcissistically, blaming him for his own death by relating it to Trump Derangement Syndrome, ironically in contrast with Reiner's own sympathy shown for Charlie Kirk's death), while all the heads of the MAGA administration and MAGA media routinely shit all over the administration's victims (from tortured deportees to Renee to Alex)
          • The conflict is not about who is more or less empathetic, it's about who's on who's side in the civil war, that's it.
      • "Obama caused all the political division in the country" — alleged at the known centrist of regular bi-partisan compromise, communicating only the most milquetoast of center-progressive rhetoric (police brutality is sad), alleged by the most polarizing party in US history
      • "Obama committed reprehensible drone strikes" — (while true, subjectively speaking) was at the very least done by legal wartime procedure, alleged by the party whose leader also does reprehensible drone strikes but without following any legal procedure
      • "Gas is high now, thanks Biden" — first ignoring the fact that a global pandemic was out of Biden's hands, now ignoring the fact that provoking Iran into blocking the Strait of Hormuz was entirely in Trump's hands
      • "Biden is corrupt for pardoning his son" — (while true, subjectively speaking) pardons every single anti-American violent insurrectionist on January 6th
      • "Biden is too old and mentally unfit", currently the oldest aged president, visibly mentally unfit
      • "Kamala has no plan and can't speak", has less of a plan ("concepts of a plan") and can't speak
      • "Those who don't study history are doomed to repeat it" — used to equate liberals to Marxist-Leninists (grievously incorrectly), while ignoring the president's own parallels with every other populist ultranationalist autocrat in history
    • Trump as the worst possible representation of Christian values
      • Envy
        • Envy of crowd sizes, envy of Nobel Peace Prizes, obsessed with the status of the "competition", treating other countries' successes as America's failures and alienating former allies in the process, actively vying for Xi Jinping's media control, Vladmir Putin's expansionism, and Kim Jong Un's autarky
      • Greed
        • Billionaire from reality television with his name on everything in gold letters
        • Withholds aid to other countries "for America" (aid used for HIV, malaria, and tuberculosis treatment in Africa), and without using saved funds to then promote the welfare of America's working class (on the contrary, cutting as many social programs as possible), only disproportionately benefiting the wealthy
        • "He denied his presidential paycheck" remains uncompelling considering the negligible difference in wealth (offset by the $4B+ he made in just the first year of his second term) and weighed against the more damning crypto-plutocracy he's created
      • Gluttony
        • Fat
        • Lives in pure excess and opulence, adorning the White House (in line with all his other properties) in gold, building extravagant ball room (during government shutdown, while simultaneously attempting to cut SNAP benefits), hosting extravagant dinners (with crypto-elite cronies, in alarmingly swamp-like fashion)
      • Sloth
        • Statistically more golf games than Obama
        • Consistent failure to act, delaying intervention on J6, delaying facilitated return of Kilmar Abrego Garcia, delaying intervention in natural disasters, delaying release of Epstein files, failure to take any actual strong stance against MAGA-aligned extremists
      • Lust
        • Nude model first lady
        • Sexualizing daughters repeatedly
        • "Grab em by the pussy"
        • "I did try and fuck her, she was married."
        • "...before a show, I'll go backstage and everyone's getting dressed...and I'm allowed to go in because I'm the owner of the pageant...and so, I sort of get away with things like that." (was this also not the entire concern with the trans bathroom issue, specifically argued by single-issue MAGA voters?)
        • Melania Trump—Stormy Daniels affair (+ hush-money criminal charge) (thou shalt not commit adultery?)
        • Marla Maples—"three other girlfriends" affair (thou shalt not commit adultery?)
        • Ivana Trump—Marla Maples affair (do we sense a pattern?)
      • Wrath
        • Spite-driven policy (i.e. Colorado water bill veto)
        • Threatening to sue the press and law firms
        • Embracing violence towards hecklers (in contrast to Obama's display in equal circumstances)
        • "I hate my enemies."
        • "We're gonna bomb the shit out of them." (proceeds to bomb the shit out of many people)
        • "I don't think we're going to necessarily ask for a declaration of war. I think we're just going to kill people that are bringing drugs into our country" (proceeds to extra-judicially bomb Venezuelan ships)
        • Killings without legal or even moral justification are definitionally considered murder
        • "A whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again." —or, unambiguously threatening genocide over a war he started
      • Pride
        • (Do I even need to explain this?)
        • Every uttered word is a boast
        • Manipulation of MAGA's own pride, sentiments of ultranationalism and supremacy, the administration self-worshiping its successes (regardless of any basis reality)
        • Pursuits in the name of self-glorification alone (i.e. the vanity of renaming a gulf that's held its name since the 1550s, inserting own name into every possible institution— regardless of procedure, the sole motivation behind vying for Greenland and Canada, etc.)
        • He inserted his own name onto the covers of bibles. He posted an AI-generated image of himself as Jesus Christ. Pure heretical gold-idol false-prophet behavior, it could not possibly be made more evident.
      • Evidently hedonistic lifestyle, infamously emblematic of materialism pre-presidency, unprecedented political corruption in presidency, morally bankrupt personally, total absence of grace or dignity or wisdom, no evidence of Godliness in any word or action, petty bullying ("quiet piggy", "fuck you" + middle finger), and so on and so forth
      • Using the current vocabulary of my president would get me kicked out of church (despite the overwhelming majority of the church-goers voting him into office)
      • Conclusion: Trump may not be the antichrist, but if he was, nobody would be able to tell
    • "I could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody, and I wouldn't lose any voters."
      • While support is dwindling due to all else mentioned, his remaining loyalists must admit that they are those voters in question. There should be no final straw left to see, the man has already pushed the boundary beyond any reasonable standard of decency and yet, in his corner, there manages to be a charitable interpretation to excuse every single action.
    • The MAGA admin being the absolute Shrek swamp
      • The cronyism of Trumpcoin dinners with special interest parties with highest investments
      • Illegally accepting Qatari plane bribe, accepting Machado's Nobel Peace Prize bribe
      • Oil executives colluding with Trump before war on Venezuela, immediately collecting their spoils afterwards (war's insides made visible from the outside)
      • Bondi leveraging ICE killings to strongarm Walz into surrendering Minnesota's voter information (coinciding with upcoming mid-term election and planned resistance against it)
      • Trump-Epstein island boys
        • Refusal to condemn Ghislane Maxwell, serial sex trafficker, on the contrary allowing preferential treatment in low-security prison
        • Long-standing friendship with Epstein, proven awareness of Epstein's activities despite feigned ignorance
        • Blatant condemning reluctance to release Epstein documents
          • Visible panic whenever brought up, "dog who broke the vase" behavior, shameless deflecting, pivoting, downplaying, obfuscating, alternating between "the Dems should be worried!" to "who cares"/"it's a hoax", spastically crashing out about it on social media in an apparent mental breakdown
          • Before evidence can even implicate, his reaction has already done the job (he doth protest too much methinks)
        • Admitting out loud, regarding the exposure of perpetrators: "my friends will get hurt"
        • When finally pushed to release files (after nearly a year of failing to meet this agreement), is suspiciously late on deadline, releasing less than 1% of total files (comically, almost entirely redacted), directly violating federal law passed to prohibit redactions beyond redacting victim identities (on no other basis than political motivation), continuing to ignore deadline and withhold further releases, hiding the existence of over twice as many Epstein files (1,000,000+)
        • Damning hearing of Pam Bondi, only capable of deflecting, childishly antagonizing, factually lying under oath, unable to apologize for mishandling or even look victims in the eye
        • Less than a year into office, this still manages to be only one of countless regularly-occurring scandals vastly eclipsing that of any former presidents. Watergate and Lewinski are nothing in comparison to what has become routine, and yet the administration has thus far avoided all accountability, at a flooding rate to the point of normalization, and this cannot be casually accepted any longer.
          • On an optimistic note, this issue may be the final wake-up call for a percentage of his base (although it's deeply questionable how it took this long), and to these few, I would encourage their redemption.
          • On the flipside, the remaining loyalists now have no more excuses, given that MAGA's core populist identity has long claimed its basis on exposing conspiracies within the corrupt elite. To be silent now is nothing short of pure, spineless, disgraceful, unprincipled, partisan cultism, deserving of no charity.
          • The fracturing of the party may be a glimmer of hope for the heart of the country, but this cultism is not over, and the fight will not be over until actual legal justice is seen.
    • MAGA reveals what will be our greatest challenge— our mechanism for accountability.
      • As is often said, how can the law be upheld when law enforcement is the one breaking it? "Who watches the Watchmen?"
      • When this is over, we will not recover until he stands trial, until the role of presidency is radically amended, until we set a precedent for corruption of this caliber to never happen again, to never again be even possible.
    • "You have Trump Derangement Syndrome", "He's only ever joking", "These are all Democrat lies"
      • And these are the final death throes of one's brain cells, the willing choice to reject reality in favor of delusion, the taking of the blue-pill, the final Kool-Aid communion, to which the only response can be the right's own: "facts don't care about your feelings".

Note: The idea of a Horseshoe Theory is by nature crude, broad, and contentious, but its usage here is to outline the idea of "intertwined yet arbitrarily-selected" ideological frameworks between US political parties (not to imply "BOth SiDes aRE JUsT aS bAD"). Anyone may make what they will of this information and what might be done about it.

Pragmatism > "Centrism"

  • Clearly, while both of America's parties are deserving of criticism wherever applicable (if being intellectually honest), both sides are not equal, there are such things as greater evils.
  • With this in mind, one then shouldn't need to choose between dogmatism and false equivalence. Two things can be criticized at once, and yet we can still take a stand against whatever is worse between them, these are all not mutually exclusive.
  • In this current climate, I would argue that this is how we must operate moving onwards. Eject the greater evil, unite under the alternative (as long as necessary, even if begrudgingly), and most importantly, continue to fight for a more representative system until we no longer feel held hostage by parties we don't trust.
  • This is important even if we think we ideologically align with one party over another to a 100% degree.
    • We all, deep down, understand the fallibility of our biases, that reality must be more nuanced than one of two worldviews.
    • Parties change, infight, fracture, misstep, become corrupted, and/or fail, inherently, which is both natural and still enough justification to refuse blind fealty. Therefore I suggest to act not as a contrarian or even a "centrist", merely an independent thinker, building ideology from the bottom-up, not top-down.
    • By severing allegiance to parties and formulating views more pragmatically, we may even end up in more or less the same worldview as before, but we would at least be challenging the process, and I would argue that this is of utmost importance, necessary for any society concerned at all with understanding itself.

Post-MAGA Landscape

  • There may be a silver lining to the unprecedented disaster of the MAGA administration. Through its abuse of democracy, its mass-scale corruption, its unilateral autocracy, like volcanic soil post-eruption, its destruction is breeding growth in its place.
  • It has 1. exposed the most glaring vulnerabilities in our system, 2. has reduced the Republican party to shambles, and 3. has proven that change (in this case, for the worst) is possible, meaning that change in a forward direction should also be possible.
  • However, the critical point is that the opportunity means nothing if we don't rise to the occasion and seize it. We cannot return to business as usual after this. That would only mean that we've learned nothing, and that consequently, we've only proven ourselves to be a lost cause.
  • Instead, its opposition must demand more, mass accountability for the criminals in authority (Nuremburg 2.0), massive overhaul so that this may never happen again, and a rebuilding of the country as a union (Reconstruction 2.0).
  • While the Democrat party has not successfully risen above its strawmen (as "far-left radical progressives" by the right and "equivalent bourgeois-evils" by the actual left), the next blue candidate now has both the means and the responsibility to change everything.
  • They must first unite the country under its most universal frustrations and demands (lack of trust in its parties, the challenges of the low-middle/working class, frustration of cronyism and demand for equal opportunity meritocracy). They must garner the support to overcome the special interests of the status-quo, they must enable a new path forward, and they must use their power to limit their power and the power of all their following successors.
  • If successful, this nightmare may just be the launching point for America to fully actualize the potential it was born with. If not, we've spiritually doomed ourselves. These are the stakes.

Government Reform

  • 1. Nation-wide implementation of ranked-choice voting in presidential elections (both primary and general), enabling the public to vote solely based on highest preference (that is, without invoking the spoiler effect), and mitigating the prevalence of "shiniest turd" dynamics due to "safest" voting choices
    • 1a. Enabling of third-party representation in congress, gradually including more factions, increasingly diluting political capital between parties until congress is institutionally based on multiple major parties (i.e. "partisan accelerationism"), mitigating the binary tug-of-war that may fail to reflect the complexity of individual ideology
  • 2. Amendment to factor popular vote alongside regional vote (potentially just a direct average calculation, final calculation TBD), maintaining diverse representation while not invalidating individual differences within regions (potentially requiring significant recalculation to maintain balance)
  • 3. "Congress and the States shall have the power to regulate and set limits on all election contributions and expenditures, including a candidate's own spending, and to authorize the establishment of political committees to receive, spend, and publicly disclose the sources of those contributions and expenditures." —Mr. BeatFile:Mrbeat.png (and mostly everybody else), limiting the political influence of donors (super-PACs, interest groups, individual lobbyists, etc.) based solely on affluence (which may or may not reflect the will of the people), mitigating potential of plutocracy
  • 4. Repeal of criminal immunity to any president or federal politician otherwise, treating constitutional violations as impeachable charges, re-honoring the "no man above the law" principle
    • 4a. In conjunction, returning dropped charges on the grounds of immunity, returning formerly-immune presidential lawbreakers to trial (totally @ nobody in particular haha)
  • 5. Amending presidential powers such as unilateral pardoning (requiring standards of verifiable exoneration) or unilaterally staffing the heads of cabinet (instead internally selecting nominees from within each department and granting the president final selection).
    • 5a. Expanding department capabilities to not only advise, but to fact-check and participate in congressional deliberation
  • 6. Reduction to a three-year presidential term if public approval drops below a threshold (TBD) and the public votes for early election at the mid-term mark
  • 7. An internally-elected Office of Professional Responsibility/Office of Inspector's General, independent from any presidential or federal influence (as opposed authority under the Attorney General), expanded to become a congress-level investigative body, capable of investigating misconduct across all federal politicians (as opposed to only the Department of Justice)

Self-Insert Agenda

(Note: SocLite is both a big-tent coalition and also supportive of decentralized governance. As a result, these policies are intended to be non-universal.)

Endorsed Economic Policies

(General concepts)

  • "Trickle-up economics"
  • Public healthcare option (additional to private)
  • Food stamps/EBT/SNAP
  • Higher social service funding
  • Higher development of transitional homeless shelters (particularly in urban areas)
  • Investment in affordable manufactured housing supply
  • Zoning law reform
  • Tax revenue re-allocated towards land value tax, corporate green tax, low-rate value-added tax (on nonessential goods), and progressive income tax (though abandoning the current logarithmic curve, favoring one more linear or sigmoidal), expanded on in below section
  • A "social fiscal-conservative" budget (moderating expenditures to allocate towards welfare services, in addition to progressive taxation)
  • Human resources as worker advocacy
  • Labor union protection
  • Promotion of small businesses and the co-op business model
  • Targeted regulation
    • Corporate welfare suppression
    • Decentivization of shareholder value and private equity investment (over worker, consumer, and long-term sustainability interests)
    • Incentivization of active over passive wealth accumulation
    • Strongly regulating use-cases of corporate bailouts (particularly targeting exploitation/cronyism)
    • Tax avoidance suppression (diversified taxation)
  • Maintaining inflation-regulating monetary policy

Proposed Economic Policies

(OP-specific)
Progressive Tax Syncretism
1. Split-rate land value tax, priority over property tax, conscious valuation model
2. Adjusted federal income tax brackets, starting at 1% for annual salaries of $14,000 or less, 10% for salaries of $14,001–$35,000, increasing linearly (flattening out the spike from 12% to 22% for salaries over $44,725 in the US, I mean what the fuck) until ~25% @ $150,000, then leveling out at ~45% @ $575,000 and up.
3. Progressive sales tax/luxury surtax (in the same vein, decreasing tax rate on low cost and essential goods, discriminately increasing at a high-end of goods, thresholds TBD).
4. Increased net investment income surtax, raising the cap from 3.8% to at least 7% (thresholds TBD).

Work-Opportunity "Loanfare"
5. Introduction of state-issued (no-credit, interest-free) loan-pay account cards functioning as vouchers for specific sectors of goods/services (à la EBT) to enable immediate accessibility (when need is highest and affordability is lowest). Coverage would include "employment necessities" (excluding food, which should already be covered in EBT) such as drug rehabilitation, childcare, basic housing assistance (transitional housing, group homes, rent, etc.), basic transportation (bicycles, public transport fees, gas costs), basic communication/internet (prepaid phones and cards), basic education (ACT/SAT/GED exam fees), therapy fees, and personal care costs (professional clothes, grooming, gym membership, etc.). As with other welfare programs, eligibility would be contingent on need and verifiable job application (if not already employed). Unlike other welfare programs, its loan payment would inherently demand less obstructive vetting and circumvent the existing dynamics of dependency. Furthermore, repayment may be deducted automatically from income (in the vein of income tax) to circumvent accumulating unpaid fees, though late deadlines would only prevent further withdrawals, and a percentage of loan forgiveness may be implemented in proportion to income level. As intended, this would effectively provide a mutual benefit to both parties, functioning as an investment from state (receiving higher employment rates) to worker (receiving immediate necessities).

"Social-Voluntary" Charity Reform
6. Creation of a central hub to aggregate public charity programs (along with all welfare programs, which would also become open-donation to supplement funding, providing each some of the other's advantages), standardize the donation process, and provide a platform for application so that aid can be applied for with national accessibility.
7. Addition of public charity programs created for the express purpose of directly funding the social services of the donator's choice.

Distributist Reform
8. Incentivization of more meritable (yet under-supported) business models by reserving more corporate privileges (i.e. subsidies, grants, tax breaks, etc.) for cooperative and small businesses.

Promotional Cooperativism
9. Equity compensation options (alternative to ESOPs, EOTs, or flat raises at employee's discretion) to be included in employee benefits, set at a growing maximum rate based on years worked or recommendation, subsequently shifting a percentage of decision-making from investor share-holders to worker share-holders (at their discretion) based on expertise.

Automation Reform
10. Requirement for corporations to disclose if the introduction of automated machinery will be supplementary with employees' positions or replacative, in the case of the latter then requiring an agreement with employees to either offer another position or provide compensation as scheduled severances to last through reasonable lengths of transition time.

Justice

  • Legalization of recreational marijuana (unless in case of DUI), amnesty of those incarcerated for marijuana possession and sales charges
  • Possession of "hard" illicit drugs treated with mandatory rehab, hard drug sales met with full penalization, maintained suppression of gang/cartel activity
  • More varied spectrum of penalization in proportion to severity of crimes (lighter charges more rehabilitatory, higher-damage/higher-malice crimes more punitive), higher prison accountability to maintain proportionality of penalization
  • Facilitated pathways to exoneration and compensation in cases of wrongful conviction, support of and cooperation with organizations such as the Innocence Project
  • Amnesty for government whistleblowers (i.e. Snowden, Assange) within good-faith conditions (excluding cases of treason, sedition, direct aid to foreign enemy intelligence, etc.)
  • More rigorous enforcement of stalking crimes (allegations met with more serious investigation and more actively treated with protective/restraining orders)
  • Public support of the police force's role and fundamental existence, maintaining funding, nonetheless massively reforming for police accountability, restricting conditions for "qualified immunity", lifting protections over all errors resulting in damages, holding equal standards for self-defense (in cases of voluntary/attempted manslaughter and assault), more rigorously enforcing charges for breach of duty/omission, more rigorously enforcing charges for tampering with evidence, write-ups issued for the deactivation of body-cams, and massively bolstering the internal affairs department (with zero tolerance for corruption)
  • Applying equivalent accountability measures for the CIA, FBI, DHS, ICE, etc.
  • Public surveillance made passive, maintaining coverage and technology while narrowing use-cases to access (limited to sanctioned investigations), suppressing corporate data-collection and internet surveillance

Domestic

  • Usage of the internet and mail to include citizen volunteers in opinion-polling/policy deliberation, as well as publishing polling data (along with charts, context notes, bias-checking, etc.), cabinet-collected research and statistics, political fact-checking, and declassified information (that is, in a central accessible hub in the vein of social media), increasing transparency and information between citizens and government
  • Cultural interventions to mitigate violence-antecedent factors, including economic policies to alleviate poverty dynamics (mitigating black market demand, gang/cartel activity), cultural interventions (keeping potential meth/crack-heads on weed at most, converting current drug addicts to alternative sources of enrichment, making straight-edge cool again), school bullying interventions (higher guidance counseling intervention, mitigating antecedents to school-age domestic terrorism), sane spiritual guidance (mitigating antecedents to destructive cults), and sane political guidance (mitigating antecedents to political violence)
  • Lifting bans on classifications of weapons and weapon accessories considered arbitrary, protecting castle doctrine/stand your ground laws, diminishing political power of both the ATF and NRA, continuing to rigorously background-check for firearm sales, maintaining prohibition upon violent charge or psychotic diagnosis, delegating public safety to armed security in high-risk environments
  • Maximally protecting freedom of speech (up to the point of inciting violence or terrorism) and right to peaceful protest, security to protect protest (rather than deter), maintaining enforcement towards violence, vandalism, and public obstruction in protest
  • Decriminalizing practice of sex-work, rigorously regulating the industry, mandating high security, regular inspection, and safe-sex standards (i.e. STD testing and contraception) to meet standards for legal approval, illegality of violations
  • Maintaining education and publicly messaging against higher-risk life practices, maintaining sin tax
  • Accessible nutrition facts, higher investment in health education, heart disease awareness
  • Mandatory driving retests to renew drivers license, at least once every 10 years (TBD), possibly taking effect starting at age 60 (TBD)
  • Maintaining support of both public and private schooling options, strongly protecting equal standards for ideological representation in public schooling (full diversity or full apoliticism outside of directly political subject matter), restricting age-inappropriate or politically motivated content in elementary-middle school
  • Reforming high school curriculum, adding government/law/political science and home economics/personal finance to core curriculum, re-designating higher mathematics as elective (or alternatively adding more math alternatives such as statistics), shifting credit requirements towards from core to more electives, introducing more career-specialized elective classes
  • Maintaining grants for college tuition (in place of universal free tuition), extending grants on out-of-state tuition, including grants for textbooks (potential gouge-capping TBD), hands-on facilitation of financial aid and scholarship application in high school
  • Refraining from (anti-meritocratic) quota-based affirmative action policies while continuing to prohibit (also anti-meritocratic) discriminatory policies
  • Maintaining protection of universal same-sex marriage rights, maintaining same-sex adoption under the same standard of qualification, eliminating discrimination (regarding gender, sex, or sexuality) in military participation under equal standard of qualification
  • Maintaining gender-transition surgery for sound-mind adults, rigorous consultation for vulnerable adults to meet surgical approval, continuing to prohibit transition surgery for minors (dysphoria-centric therapy instead), leaving use of puberty-blockers to discretion of teenager-parent-doctor consultation (over minimum age thresholds), lifting bathroom bans (incoherent concept in practice regardless), leaving "trans sports issue" to discretion of sports associations (ostensibly leaving divisions based on given sex at birth)
  • Decriminalizing doctor-consulted abortions within rigid guidelines, publicly messaging emotional weight of abortion (disavowing "celebratory" rhetoric, favoring "safe, legal, and rare" sentiment)
  • Public support of doctor expertise and vaccination, continued penalization of child endangerment due to medical negligence, deference to parents' cost-benefit analysis for "less-essential" vaccination, higher education on the cost-benefit nature of pharmaceuticals, higher education and transparency regarding pharmaceutical process, restricting exploitative pharmaceutical practices within the industry (negligence, corner-cutting, exploitation of inelastic demand, etc.)
  • Maintaining individuals' tax incentives for eco-friendly practices while limiting anti-environmental penalties (such as green tax) to higher-impact industrial plants/factories, investing in alternate energy sources (particularly nuclear) as additive to conventional energy sources, maintaining extraction of oil and gas (necessary by criteria of cost) while aiming to phase out demand long-term
  • Infrastructure reform with Western European-inspired urban planning, higher accessibility to public transport and cycling lanes, expanding passenger railways and subways, supporting expansion of existing highways/interstate lanes, adhering to preservation of forestation and protected land
  • Cooperating with indigenous reservations and minority communities to improve quality of life, respecting cultural solidarity while supporting (voluntary) cross-cultural exchange and national unity

International

  • Common-sense border control, facilitating green-card and citizenship process, heavily reforming (funding, vetting, moderating) asylum-seeking process, opening refugee camps at national border, disavowing xenophobic rhetoric, zero-tolerance for deportations without due process, wrongful deportations (citizen deportations/green-card/visa deportations, deportations outside country of origin, "administrative errors"), deporting directly to criminal imprisonment (especially in combination with lack of due process, maintaining standards of "innocent until proven guilty"), etc., (totally @ nobody in particular haha)
  • Highly discriminant fair-trade protectionism, restricting exploitation of third-world labor/sweatshops, economically sanctioning/decreasing import-reliance on specific nations that are relationally adversarial or ethically intolerable domestically, continuing to maintain mutually beneficial global free trade with allied nations, minimizing frivolous tariffs, disavowing "trade-war" theory, forced industrial regression, and autarky aspirations (totally @ nobody in particular haha)

War

  • Message: Violence is an occasionally necessary evil that pacifists will argue isn't necessary and jingoists will argue isn't evil. If the aim is peace, you cannot tolerate injustice (and you certainly can't become it).
  • Means: "Big Stick diplomacy"— diplomacy first backed by a present defense second (though focused on efficiency over abundance, allocation towards ABMs, MRAP vehicles, UGVs, UAVs, and high-precision drone ballistics i.e. AGM-114R-9X kinetic missile)
    • Aiming for a minimum of spending over the threshold of maintaining military superiority
    • Regulating the military industrial complex's influence on decision-making (basing criteria on principle over profit)
    • Weighing foreign and domestic needs at all given times, lending support to allied causes based on national ability and foreign need (primarily aid as supplies, trades, loans, etc.), fully withdrawing cooperation with bad-actor nations (initiating breaches in cease-fire agreements, breaches in conduct of war), situationally moderating military ventures when national economy is in higher crisis and geopolitical climate is in lower crisis
    • Maintaining counter-terrorist reconnaissance, intelligence, and special operations (favoring foreign internal defense/unconventional warfare)
    • When crisis absolutely demands, maintaining kill/capture orders for hogh value targets, maintaining counter-proliferation for national threats
    • Nonetheless prioritizing "soft" to "hard" intervention, maintaining humanitarian aid and endorsing liberal democracy globally (via hearts and minds), refraining from offenses of aggression, refraining from regime-change operations that may result in equal-or-worse dictatorships
    • Public support to troops individually, actively improving veteran care
    • Ultimately posturing the international role of America as a "quiet giant", made strong by its domestic strength first (sound in spirit), on the path to lead the world to peace (sound in heart), by way of respecting its capability (sound in body)

Basic

  • Abolition of pennies from US mint (okay maybe Trump can do one thing right)
  • Abolition of daylight savings time alternation (permanent orientation TBD by polling, permanent DST leaning)
  • Inclusion of metric system conversions into standard notation

Personality

SocLite takes on the personality typology of its OP (namely an INTP MBTI, 594 Enneagram Tritype, and RCUAI "Big 5"), combining strong Ti and Fe functions to advocate for government led by heart and mind (although it suppresses the "dirtbag" irreverence of its OP for political reasons).
