The National Republic of Eelam is a relatively small island nation that exists within the Indian subcontinent on the island of Sri Lanka which in the Indian Ocean, southwest of the Bay of Bengal, separated from the Indian peninsula by the Gulf of Mannar and the Palk Strait. It is mainly divided into 9 major provinces, which comprise of 25 districts. Its capital is located in Jaffna, which is a substantially populous city in the north of Sri Lanka (before the Civil War in the 80s and 90s, it was the second most populous city on the island), historically known to be the center of the Jaffna Kingdom. The current government came to power after the collapse of the old
Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka during the 2020s economic crisis in Sri Lanka and the subsequent violent protests. Its establishment was headed by various Tamil nationalist groups during what is known as the "Scarlet Revolution", including but not limited to:
- Transnational Government of Tamil Eelam (National liberation organization within the Tamil diaspora)
- Tamil National Alliance (pro-Tamil party in the former republic)
- Remnants of the L.T.T.E (the group that instigated the Civil War in the 80s)

[edit]Eelam is a one-party state ruled by the Alliance of Tamil National Liberation which controls all seats in the Parliament of Eelam. Despite this, there exist many factions within the party ranging from far-left national maoists to far-right theocratic fundamentalism.

Centrist Faction (dominant)
- Leader: B. Saheed
- Information: The Centrist Faction is the most influential and dominant faction within the ATNL and is led by the president himself. Under its rule, the nation of Eelam has begun a semi-nationalization of various core industries and has initiated a cultural (and soon ethnic) genocide of the Sinhalese people. It was preceded by the Transnational Government of Tamil Eelam and was further supported by many Tamil supremacists who were galvanized during the period of turmoil and did not have real political positions.
- Ideology:
Maoist Faction
- Leader: Dr G. Weerasinghe
- Information: The Maoist Faction represents the far-left wing of the ATNL, as the successor of the Ceylon Communist Party (Maoists) and the Communist Party of Sri Lanka (IKK) who created a revolutionary coalition during the collapse of the old Republic with the compromise of Maoist doctrine and IKK leadership and organization (which is why it is led by Weerasinghe). The Maoist Faction advocates for a complete nationalization and collectivization of all industry across the island. They are the faction that is most opposed to the current ethno-cultural genocide of the Sinhalese although they haven't made any public declarations of condemnation due to fear of being kicked out of the one-party state.
- Ideology:
Left Faction (conglomerate of former newly-radicalized FPA and NPP members as well as pro-LGBT protestors)
